The paintings of Space debris, also called space junk or astro garbage, shows lanes of debris circling in the Earth's orbits.

Over 130 million particles or 13500 tons are said to be circling above our heads in various directions.

40 500 are greater than 1 cm and 39340 can be tracked regularly.

The IADC (Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee) recently announced that a critical point had been reached in the low Earth orbit LEO, known as the Kessler effect, which states that due to the prevailing density of space debris, there will be an increase in collisions, causing a chain reaction of further collisions and producing even more debris.

​

On February 2025, a rocket upper stage entered the Earth's atmosphere uncontrolled and burned up almost completely. Two tanks hit Poland.

​Decommissioned satellites are placed in the graveyard orbit at an altitude of 36,000 km. ​

Space debris – Weltraummüll  zeigt Bahnen von Müll, der sich in den Erdumlaufbahnen der Erde befindet.

Über 130 Millionen Teilchen oder 13500 Tonnen sollen in verschiedenen Richtungen über unseren Köpfen kreisen.

40 500 davon sind größer als 1cm und 39340 können regelmäßig überwacht werden. 

Vor Kurzem gab die IADC ( Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee) die Meldung heraus, dass im erdnahen Orbit LEO ein kritischer Punkt erreicht worden sei, der als Kessler-Effekt bekannt ist und besagt, dass es aufgrund der vorherrschenden Dichte des Weltraumschrotts vermehrt zu Kollisionen kommen wird, was eine Kettenreaktion von weiteren Zusammenstößen hervorruft und noch mehr Müll produziert.

Im Februar 2025 trat eine Raketenoberstufe unkontrolliert in die Erdatmosphäre ein und verglühte fast vollständig. Zwei Tanks schlugen in Polen ein.

​

Ausrangierte Satelliten bleiben oft in der Höhe von 36.000km im Friedhofsorbit auf unbestimmte Zeit.
